Welcome back to Adobe. Shares are closing higher by a per cent. Firefly’s generative AI model aims to produce higher-quality images and new media types. It was trained on about 70% more pictures, including new ways to control and prompt creation.
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen. Shantanu, thank you for joining us. I know you have an investor presentation today, too. Ai renders humans more accurately, which I find particularly interesting and now for layouts, too. How will this expand the market for you? Jon, we miss you here at Max, but it was perhaps the most aggressive set of product announcements Adobe has made since I’ve been here.
The belief ai is only going to enhance creativity. We announced significant innovation, whether imaging allows a new image model or firefly related to design, illustrators, or an on-ramp to the product. They have a creative idea to tell the story faster. It brings tremendous new growth into the fold. To create, we also had enterprises, how enterprises can look at all the content with the Gen Studio product. The audience reception to this has been fabulous. Please give us a tease here when it comes to enterprise.
There are many AI announcements, firefly, and now this. What was it like in the early days? And what’s the customer profile going to be? What we did with the firefly models was significant. Concerned about the content, would the companies attempt to indemnify it and ensure it was appropriately trained? You can customize your models. We announced the availability in the process, but it’s exciting. Whether it’s an app, they’ve already implemented our entire content generation studio, allowing them to say everything from the campaign brief at the beginning of a creative process to every piece of content created and then translated into 40 languages.
There has been tremendous excitement. The first numbers are based on pride predictions. Are you seeing AI applied to customers as well, and do you have any sense that you can give us on the economic state as we head further into q4? I lost you, Jon, so I’m not sure — yeah, it seems like we’re having some trouble with Shantanu — I think we got you back? Yes. I can hear you know. I want a bit of insight into e-commerce and the degree to which AI is involved in that process, as well. Every single company is dabbling with this technology.
We changed that with Gen Studio rather than the actual content production. Regarding how they reduced their marketing cost, it’s all ahead of us. We’re not making a date like we usually do. The business continues to be strong, and we expect to have it.
